Our History
A Westside icon is how most people describe what Marge and Mel Mergard started over 30 years ago. After selling their catering business in 1987, the Mergards decided to focus on selling cake decorating and candy supplies. They understood that selling a wide variety of inventory and offering hands-on classes is what people wanted most. Over time, customers came to rely on friendly knowledgeable service.
In the Spring of 2000, I decided to fine tune my cake decorating skills and took a cake decorating class from Marge.
I had found my passion!
I found cake decorating to be exciting, fun and at the same time therapeutic. My new found passion quickly led me to start baking cakes for others to enjoy. After 5 years of being a loyal customer to the Mergards, I purchased the shop from them. My dream is to carry on and expand what they have started. I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings.
